Tiit Vunk became the Estonian Sudoku champion for the 6th time

Hello, On Saturday, 05.03.2016, the 10th Estonian Sudoku Championship took place in Paide. The most successful was once again Vint.ee co-founder Tiit Vunk, who currently holds a high 2nd place in the world in this field. The competition consisted of three parts as usual – selection, sprint and final. The six best solvers from the first two rounds advanced to the final. The finalists were given four tasks to solve in a timed manner. Before starting to tackle each next sudoku, the judge checked the solution. If the solution was correct, the competitor moved on to the next task board. The slowest competitor was eliminated with each new task until the last three solvers remained. Whoever finished first was the winner. Last year's bronze medalist Ragnar Kruberg came in second, last year's fourth place Villem Mesila came in third. Kertu Luht came in fourth place as the best woman. The best in the senior category was Alar Heinaste again after a year's break. A total of 36 solvers from all over Estonia participated in the competition. It is a pleasure to note that the 10 best sudoku solvers in Estonia are also actively solving sudoku on the Vint.ee portal! The top four finishers in the competition will be invited to participate in the World Sudoku Solving Championship, which will take place in October in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. The championship was organized by AS Kuma in cooperation with the Estonian Memory Game Association, Conceptis Puzzles Ltd and the World Puzzle Federation.

Meikop, it was the 11th Estonian! ;p My big congratulations to TiiDu for the win and a little less to Krub and Esti for the top 3 results!!! Mimm also did even better than expected (y) I myself finished in a decent 20th place in a tight competition after only a little practice. I set my own points record! I have only finished a little higher once before ;)
