Sasku was played as much last year as all games combined a few years ago. I am also pleased that some mental sports (chess, sudoku) are still gaining popularity. As you can see, the newcomer Crosswords has also gotten a decent start, landing in 10th place in half a year. I predict that this 2700 man-hours will triple next year. In total, 228,000 man-hours were played on the vint.ee portal in 2016. Last year, this number was 149,000, so the usability of vint.ee increased by 53% in a year! News in 2016 Last year, 2 new games were added to Vint: Sasku and Ristsųānada. While Sasku is finished (it is the most popular game in Vint throughout history), Ristsųānada still needs work - all the questions entered need to be reviewed. Work is underway on this and we will officially open the Crosswords room by spring. We also significantly improved the existing card games by adding card game tournaments: Tuhandes, Saskus, Bismarckis and 4-person PEredkidnois. The tournaments have been well received by users and at least one tournament takes place in each game every day. We also added other interesting features during the year: * We started recommending Good music while playing * At the end of the summer, we started rewarding successful mental athletes and brought the leaders of the leaderboard to the visible gaming space * We are giving all vint.ee users at least 2 weeks of free VIP status during the year * We also improved the gaming experience in general - you can use the chat room emoticons, game room notifications now appear outside the browser, and we improved the detection of loss of internet connection [/URL] I only highlighted the most important ones - in fact, much more was updated in the portal. This academic year, the number of participants promises to be at least as large. * With the help of user Krubi, we identified the most diligent daily Sudoku solver of the year, or Sudoku Solver of the Year 2016. Since Krubi has decided to take a break from organizing the event, I'm calling on other sudoku enthusiasts - if anyone is willing to organize a similar competition next year, the vint.ee team will be happy to award prizes! * We also announced the best card player of the year, who turned out to be the user direktor. The competition turned out to be very popular and we definitely plan to repeat it next year. It may happen that next year this event will take place already in April-May Plans for 2017 As mentioned above, our first priority is to get the difficulty levels of the crosswords right, which will take some time.
