Mind Sports All-Around World Championships 2013

In Carcassone, all Estonians made it to the top ten, there were 19 participants in total. Andres tied for 2nd-5th place, Martin tied for 6th-7th place, and I was 8th. Before the last round, I would have had a chance to win, but being at the same table with Andres, I only managed to come in third. The afternoon is now free, but the boys are going to try London lowball in the evening.

By the way, Ankush got the first place, which is pretty bad news.

Andres managed to reach the second table this time, but as unbelievable as it may sound - Martin, who learned the rules of London Lowball 5 minutes before the tournament started, managed to win poker for the second time. He also personally beat Ankush, who took third place. Today Andres will play Aquire, and Martin and I will join the competition again in the evening at the poker table, where today we will play Texas Hold'em :)

Andres just announced that with half of the tournament over, Ankush has a big lead and Andres is currently in 8th place.

How many participants were there in the sudoku? Was the person who did it last year also there? Did anyone from our team participate? How did it go?

Andres is in 7th place before the last round, Ankush is still far ahead. None of the Estonians played sudoku. Andres was the only one who was there, so he might be able to talk more about numbers and other things.

Ankush won Aquire. Andres was 7th out of 12. It was bad news for me that one of my biggest rivals - Emily Watson - managed to get third place there and collect a lot of pentamind points. Tonight's poker was Texas Hold'em. Martin crashed out for the first time before the final table and got 12th place. I got 7th place again, but thanks to the fact that there were 21 players instead of 19, I collected a little more pentamind points. The biggest surprise was probably Liise, who played for the first time and achieved 5th place. With this result, she got the junior gold for poker. Andres reached heads-up as a big leader in front of Bharat. The game is still going on.

The atmosphere is very tense at the moment. Andres and I were supposed to play English checkers today, but there are only 5-6 players with us. Andres needs to get 100 points to win. There are currently 6 people in Monopoly, when Andres, Martin and I go to play, there are 9 and the chance that 1 more person will join is greater than that 3 will join checkers. Domino is also starting in the morning. It is a short tournament and there are also 6 players. Diplomacy is also starting, but there are few players and they are considering another tournament.. but which one.... We will let you know later what we decide.
