posted by dotsen I've adapted to this 3 games a day system, and I don't really want to do more, but make sure that the new day starts with a new date and at 00.00. I'd like to do 1 game at 10.00, 2 during the day, 3 in the evening. At the moment, if you played 3 games in a row the previous day, for example, in the evening, you'll still get the new day's games in the evening. A really crappy system.
That's why I don't even bother playing my three games anymore:) I once made a suggestion to Meikop, but he suggested I set up a survey myself. A brainless system:) and it won't bring me back to VIP. At the same time, I'm happy that Meikop increased the price of VIP by 50 cents, I have many times more time:) Sometimes I go to chip, but I don't feel like playing anymore. Suggestion: Inactive users will start to see their rating decrease

All peasants read Hamlet: to play or not!? I personally like that Vint surprises and in some ways thanks to the fact that surprises are expected. Every user here has their own priorities or preferences, but one should not be indifferent. Reducing the rating is actually a side issue, which I also described in my previous post. Does anyone care what Kasparov's rating is now in terms of world chess!? The former first (without looking at the current situation online) is probably still in the top 10 at the moment? The feeling may be wrong, but what does it give Garri? If possible, you can take part in certain tournaments... What does Vint's raid give?? You can perhaps take part in tournaments with restrictions!? Live EMV won't work with it! Get yourself together: broadly speaking, this raid here means nothing and I repeat myself: if you don't suffocate for a few more weeks or better - 1 month - the rating will become inactive!! Those who have encountered it know! Absolutely normal and there's no point in even arguing!!
I agree with the idea of lowering the rating of inactive users with certain concessions. I would only suggest a relatively conservative algorithm - for example, 1 point per day from the 2nd week, etc. On the other side of the coin: in my opinion, this plan only makes sense if it involves showing inactive users in the rankings - the rankings would simply be prettier, i.e. longer. If inactive users were not shown in the rating, I would not be inclined to use these points.
Hey guys, some good ideas are coming. Maybe it will stay in the leaderboard indefinitely, the rating will start to drop if you don't play for 2 weeks. Now another question - is 1 point a day motivating enough? Going from 2400 to 1400 will take 3 years.... Maybe 3 points would be a compromise (instead of 5)?
In some areas there are few users. and it is difficult to find players. There is also a low rating there because there are few new players, from whom it is rare to collect points. And if now these points are simply thrown into the trash?? Somewhere the best have maybe 1800 points. If we also make the rating of relatively rare players non-existent, then you can't play with them either. I want to play international, Brazilian and English checkers every 2 weeks, then there is rarely anyone there and if there is I would have to play 42-0. So I can't win and something can still go wrong. Ratings are dropping significantly for everyone?! What is this reduction in ratings supposed to do? So that they go in more often? I don't think it will work.
2 weeks is too short a time. If this crappy thing is pushed through then 1 point a day seems reasonable. But there should at least be something like 3-4 months where the rating is not affected at all. At least.
stop now they want to make everyone addicted...now they want you to have to play every goddamn day. which is almost impossible 1 point in every game it's completely absurd there are so many of these games think about it ometion 20 or more of them it means that even 5 hours a day is not enough....to play all the games and half the time you still have to find users...I repeat again you have no right to take away any points....in playforia you get 1 point for logging in every day without even having to play and it's free you don't have to be a vip,,,meikopi has that I pay for it and wants to take away points too. I'm paying anyway and now you're trying to attack my raid...you have no right to do that..I researched meikopi has all the rights he can take away card games he can also ask for money for it...but he has no right to attack my account....or anyone else's accounts...everything.
Kamby old people saved money in savings banks during the USSR so that their relatives could organize a proper funeral for them, but then the monetary reform came and zeroed out all their savings - Meikop wants to zero out your savings too
posted by kamby well now they want you to play every goddamn day.
? How can we develop a constructive discussion here if random opinions are read out of the posts that no one has stated? Who has talked about playing every day? I looked at kamby's profile, he has a rating over 1400 in 8 games (and the rating only drops when the rating is over 1400). Maybe Kamby should play 8 games in two weeks. That's about 1 game in two days. In the last two weeks, kamby has played 187 games. I don't see a problem.
Another idea is that the "taking away" of points does not necessarily have to be equal for all users on an absolute scale, perhaps a relative scale is fairer. For example, a rating of 3000 takes 1 point per day, but a rating of 1500 takes 0.5 points per day (or in reality 1 point over 2 days, since a rating with decimal places is not needed (not that there is anything wrong with that)). For example, if we choose 1 point per day as the algorithm starting from the 30th day of inactivity, then in the case of a half-year break from playing, the loss would be about 150 points. This can be made up for with just 4 won games, so I guess this "robbing" of points is not as unfair as it seems at first glance.
