Hello!
A bit of Bismarck.
In my experience, the card distribution in this game is not balanced or evenly distributed. Very often, a situation arises where it is clear from the beginning of the game that one player's cards do not allow him to win the game in any way - regardless of his knowledge, experience or logical thinking.
In such situations, interest in the game is lost, as the player cannot apply his skills and the outcome is essentially determined only by the card distribution. It feels as if the computer has already decided who the winner is before the game starts, and the player himself has no real opportunity to influence the situation.
In my opinion, a good card game should:
give the player the opportunity to use their knowledge and strategy;
provide comparable and balanced baselines;
avoid situations where the game is essentially decided from the start.
In its current form, the Bismarck game makes me feel that skill and experience do not play a significant role, and this significantly reduces the joy of the game and the motivation to continue playing.
Please consider reviewing the card distribution algorithm and improving the game balance to ensure a fairer and more engaging gaming experience for all users.
To not only educate, but also specific suggestions for change:
Balanced card distribution
– The cards could be dealt in a way that gives each side at least a minimal chance to influence the game, rather than a completely hopeless situation.
Initial quality control
– If one player has an exceptionally weak starting hand, the game could automatically level it or offer a new deal.
More strategic choice
– The game should allow for decisions that affect the outcome, not just force you to play “as the cards show.”
Statistics and transparency
– For example, information about how often a very unfavorable hand occurs, to increase the player's trust in the system.
Test mode or alternative mode
– A mode with more emphasis on skill and less on chance might interest more experienced players.

It's a simple game: before free stacking and free choice, you have to have a big success, and then it no longer matters what position you are in.

I've been playing cards here for years and I made a big discovery: no matter what card game it is, the winner has never complained that the computer gave him too good cards.

@Mets58,
I'm not happy either way.
If it's not up to me to think that I have /-30, it's boring...or 50 -20 -30. Then you just look at whose victory is more beneficial to you in terms of victory points. There's no joy because you can't think. The map plays itself.

Acorn, you have 666 Bismarcks, of which 192 are wins, 248 are draws, and 226 are losses.
I have 25,555 Bismarcks, of which 9,293 are wins, 9,087 are draws, and 7,175 are losses.

Try calculating percentages.

If you want to minimize the amount of luck in a card game, learn Bridge! Really - I started developing a Bridge game last summer and playing it myself. And it's a really cool game! All other card games now seem extremely easy.

Bismarck, sasku, thousand - all have a pretty high share of luck (card run) and there's nothing you can do about it.

Look at Küüsi and podkidnoi - guys who played themselves red have a win rate of 54%%-56%%!

Card games are and will remain a game of chance - you can lose 10 games in a row because of a bad card run. Then win 15 in a row.
Card games are successful in the long run. That you tilt the winning percentage to 50%% -> 55%% with your skills. And then you are the best.

In Vint, the card dealing is absolutely random. And it has been for 15 years. Starting to manipulate it now... doesn't seem like a good idea.

Maykop,
My father was an inventor and a rationalizer. While he used to make things better because he couldn't be bothered to do many boring things himself, as he got older he would always try to give us reasons WHY these things couldn't be made better. The real reason was that he just couldn't be bothered to do them. His reasons were always excellent because he knew his job.

Mets58 suggested I calculate percentages. I included all my numbers in the calculation (Mets58, you can even understand that a simple %% did not give peace of mind).

Looking at the results of the last Bismarck games (566 games in total), a clear pattern can be seen, with many games having very large margins between winners and losers. Typically, the 1st place player gets 30 to 55 points, while the 3rd place player gets -30 to -55 points, which translates to a 60-100 point difference within a single game.
About 70-75%% of games seem to be unfair in terms of the distribution of cards, where one player gets a clear advantage and the other finds himself in a hopeless situation from the start. Only about 25-30%% of games are those where the cards are more or less equal and the outcome of the game can be influenced by skill and decisions.
This shows that in the Bismarck game, the card distribution determines a very large part of the outcome, and the role of skill remains secondary in many games, especially when the starting hand is weak.

Meikop, it's just a "voice" from the hall. I don't plan on learning bridge right now, but thanks for the suggestion. My son suggested the same thing, but I don't feel like it. In the meantime, I'm working on improving the world.

If you don't play cards, you're always a winner because you can spend that time improving the world. smiley

Acorn, look again, the first number in parentheses after the player's name shows the points they collected at the end of the game, but the second number shows the change in their rating. Your story is probably based on the wrong number, because a number as large as you claim is rare.

Oh, let it be.
Let it go back to the category of "the citizen was able to talk it out" and he'll calm down. Let's not be too opposed, because then he won't bother anymore.
It's dull when nothing depends on me and the computer has already chosen the winner before the game. In the end, you just throw the cards with a blank face...no need to think.
