Hi, Tiit recently visited me and we discussed the format of a sudoku tournament series in December. The general format is as usual: Every evening at 20:00 there will be a tournament (there are 31 days in December), the 20 best results will be recorded (the one with the lowest sum of 20 tournament times wins). What sudokus could be in the tournament? My suggestion: 1) 6x6 medium 2) 9x9 hard 3) 9x9 v.hard 4) 9x9 diagonal medium 5) 9x9 diagonal hard 6) 6x6 special shape easy 7) 6x6 special shape medium 8) 9x9 special shape hard Any thoughts?

right, this 8th one stands out strongly from the others, suddenly the 9x9 special shape is average

and the letter will be sent when everything is sorted out... such a tough competition will definitely scare away many young and old

Make the first bite easier, young people learn, but hard workers will do it in a few minutes anyway.

I generally support Meikop's idea, but I would suggest: 1. A different order 2. An alternative option to make the tournament a little easier. Order with black and alternative blue 1) 6x6 medium 2) 6x6 special shape easy 3) 6x6 special shape medium 4) 9x9 diagonal medium 5) 9x9 hard (9x9 medium) 6) 9x9 diagonal hard 7) 9x9 v.hard 8) 9x9 special shape hard (9x9 special shape medium) I agree that maybe special shape hard can scare off those who don't have that much experience. From the daily charts, it can be seen that medium is generally defeated, but there are more problems with hard. In addition, criteria should be established based on which the ranking is determined. I would suggest that preference could be given to those who have solved at least 20 tournaments to the end and time could be counted for them. The rest could be ranked, for example, so that the first criterion is the number of sudokus solved and the next is time. (or 20x8=160). The one who has done 159 sudokus is next in the list, etc. etc. and to avoid sharing between each other, we consider the solution time. This motivates to solve as many sudokus as possible - at the same time, there is room for error if it happens that you don't always manage to solve all of them. It is also possible to use other criteria.

The test time is still 100 minutes.

The time factor is still a bit tough for men below the belt like me.....suddenly like in competitions, the point value is...and then the time is different every day

siit edasi võib valida ül järjekorra ka et ei peaks kuskile toppama jääma ja kui aega üle jääb tagasi tulla lahendamatta ül. juurde

If a player has participated on all days, but has only completed, for example, 15 times, then what criteria is used to select the 5 tournaments that have not been completed as part of the 20?

The 5 tournaments with the most Sudokus solved will be counted.
