Maybe we can make it easier - the first puzzle of the day in all types will be recorded in the table? It could be a different word for everyone. If there are 10 of these puzzles in the future, the best solvers will come out anyway.
One addition I'm thinking of is to try to give a person in the game room a word to solve that they haven't solved yet. Currently, the word to solve is chosen randomly and there is a theoretical possibility that a person will have to solve the same word 3 times.
Thirdly - this automatic database update doesn't work. I think I have about a day of unverified words left and there are 2500 "ohsok" type words in the database - people try random letter combinations, which are then saved in the database.
I'll do it better: If you belong to the "crossword submitters" group and suggest a word that is not in the database, a box will appear next to you saying "Do you want to add the word "X" to the database?". I will add more active solvers to the "crossword submitters" group myself.
The average solving time is not the same as the median time. The median means the time in the middle of the ranking. The idea was to use this system I proposed only in a summary ranking, not in a ranking of each type of puzzle. If you simply put together the times of different puzzles solved by different people, there would be more confusion than a point of comparison. (If you were to add these 10 times in one table, it could happen that someone gets, for example, an unknown word, solves it for a long time and therefore loses the opportunity to compare the other 9 that they did well in.)I like this "random puzzle of the day". But I guess I don't like this multiplication with average solving time.

The same word hasn't come up in a row, but some words have been solved several times. The words shouldn't be repeated for at least a couple of weeks.
I came to write the same thing, so that only those who have not solved it before could come. I just saw how I was 40 seconds faster 3 days ago, I still don't want to lose. One addition I'm thinking of is to try to give a person in the game room a word to solve that they haven't solved yet.
