Hello, Since the inter-school online chess competitions have ended, we have now made a version change, which has been expected for several months. What's new? 1) We have improved sudoku tournaments: If all remaining users in the tournament have left, the tournament will be ended immediately (their time is expected to expire today) 2) All tournaments have a 30 second timeout period 3) In closed tournaments, ratings will also change 4) Tournaments without a rating change can also be organized (this will take a few days). 5) In 4-player perekidnoi, the time to move is 10 seconds when there are 2 players left to play (previously it was 5) 6) Since the Vint.ee and Mindoku.com code are common, the default game type in the checker room is now International Checkers. We hope that Russian checkers enthusiasts will find the opportunity to play their game :) 7) Fixed Taraguchi renju bugs (time control refresh) 8) Fixed one Fischer chess bug . 9) Fixed one bug found at the Interschool Chess Tournament. 10) Since reporting rude users works, we removed the "Show users' text messages" checkbox from the game room. 11) Tournament notifications in the large hall will no longer be three, but one: 5 minutes before the tournament starts. As always with software developments, when you improve something, something else may break. We ask vint.ee users to be understanding and let us know about any bugs you find quickly! (Even right here in the forum). Happy gaming, Vint.ee team

Version changes could improve something and fix bugs. Why change something that people are used to and that worked very well? Setting international checkers as the default game type was an unpleasant surprise for me. Was it really so difficult to leave the Vint.ee checkers room untouched? Or if this code really has to be shared, why couldn't Russian checkers be the default game in Mindoku as well. Everything is in English there. So if people ever come to play, they will understand where international checkers is. There are practically no checkers there at the moment. There are a lot of online game portals where you can play checkers, it will be a rather difficult undertaking to fill Mindoku with checkers enthusiasts. Even Entropy, which cannot be played elsewhere online, is eagerly awaiting new enthusiasts. Another innovation, which is also not a joy, is the shortening of the time between tournament rounds from 60 seconds to 30. For short tournaments and leisure games, this is perhaps justified. However, if you think about an 11-round Russian checkers tournament, which lasts about 1 hour and 40-45 minutes, then the time between games could have remained unchanged. However, it is a mental game. There are breaks in school for a reason. A person needs a break. This 60 seconds is not such a long time that you can't wait for the end. But otherwise, good luck to those who do it!
In card games, 30 seconds is enough, but in mind games, 1 minute could be enough. A chess tournament sometimes lasts almost two hours. I would like to stretch my back in between. If the game doesn't end last, it gives me enough time to at least have a cup of coffee. The tournament isn't that fast either. But otherwise, good innovations. Good luck to the creators.
It's good that this Fischer bug was fixed. The same thing happened to my opponent once. After castling, the rook disappeared, a few moves later my opponent asked where my rook was, I replied that it was a natural loss :D. It was once during a Fischer tournament.
It turned out that due to the version change, the rating also started changing in VIP tournaments. Is anyone against this?
I even like it.
If anyone has a problem with the rating changing in a freeroll, please let us know - it's easy to change it back!
I don't know if something has changed with the version change or some other glitch, but at the moment, newsreaders can send and write private messages. In addition, it seems that some private messages are also visible to others, or how else to explain yesterday's incident, when suddenly a private window opened while I was in the game room and I saw strange communication between two or more people (everyone was shown as newsreader 1). I tested today with my name and newsreader and it turned out that a newsreader can send a private message to a Vindi user, but it doesn't reach that user, but opens as a private message to newsreaders with the same number in different rooms, who can then all write there and see the communication. (I hope that was an understandable explanation) I'm attaching here as a file the private message between newsreaders yesterday that opened for me, maybe it's easier to understand what I meant.
I don't know if there is a problem with adding the file to the forum, but the file didn't go through. I'll add the address http://www.upload.ee/image/1840978/priva.jpg
Very suspicious.
