International Pente competition?

Estonians, Europeans and Macau renju players mostly seem to play real time swap2 Pente here among players from their own countries. US players mostly players mostly play turn based tournament rules Pente at pente.org and other sites. I understand that about 20% of the population of Japan plays Pente, but mostly with members of their groups. Boardgamearena now has real time and turn based Pente and variants including swap2. When and where can we have some international competitions?

I may have misunderstood about the Japanese players; it may be that 20% of the players of Pente at boardgamearena are from Japan.

There's an international team competition in planning which includes Pente, but since it will also involve numerous other abstract games it may not get many sign ups from people who mostly just play Pente (like me).
