A small thought.
In a private chat with a chess player, the entire screen is yours. However, there is only a small box at the bottom for writing. Wouldn't it be conceivable for the latter to be larger, like here, for example? This would allow you to see what you have written in its entirety before sending it, and it would be easier to correct the text if necessary.

There is now a 4-line input box for private chat.
To go to a new line, press SHIFT ENTER (just ENTER sends the text).
But remember, you can still send a nice structured message to the inbox, not in private chat. Now the username is also clickable in private chat, or on the user's profile, and from there you can write to the inbox with a few clicks.
