The third Vinti and Kullo Mind Games Day three-way competition (gomoku, checkers, chess) was won by Martin Hõbemägi (matu 97) with 87 points. Ain Salula (ain1234), who played outside the competition, collected 84 points, Villem Mesila (Est) 79 and Mai Narva (Tiigrike) 78 points. You can view the results (including individual events) in the vint.ee event calendar.
Congratulations to the top three!! But why did Ain participate outside of the competition?
Ain received awards in individual disciplines, but in the final calculation he resigned as a modest person (just like you resigned the trophy in favor of Indrek Turu last year). Thanks to Ain, Mai Narva now made it into the top three, who in addition to a certain victory in the chess tournament also fought very well in other disciplines. Of course, we must praise all the young players who made it through a long day. The competition room was also packed. Even for me, who only participated in checkers and chess outside the calculation, the line was already completely closed by the last chess game. Against the great 7-year-old mind player Mart Narva, I successively left a flag, a rook and a number of minor pieces, but I still did not manage to lose the game, because the tired opponent was able to get rid of even more tricks.
