Vint.ee Bridge Bidding System
The system is based on picture points (pp). Picture points are calculated as follows: Ace - 4 points, King 3, Queen 2 and Jack 1 point.According to the picture points and the length of the suit, the vint.ee computer offers the following logic:
Opening bid
- 1
(or Kontra(X) if the opponents' previous bid no longer allows 1
to be offered) - 17+ pp - 1
or 1
- 11-16 pp and at least 5th of the corresponding suit - 1NT - 14-16 pp, the shortest suit is at least 2nd and the longest suit is 5th

- 11+ pp and does not meet any of the previous conditions - 2



- 6-10 pp and at least 6th of the suit with a picture - 2NT - 6-10 pp and both at least 5th of the low suits

- 6-10 pp and 7+ of the suit with a picture

Stayman convention
Used to ask for the division of high suits. Responses to 2

Ask for aces
In order to find out the number of aces in partner's hand, an artificial bid of 4NT has been invented. The responses to this bid are:- 5
- 0 or 4 aces - 5
- 1 ace - 5
- 2 aces - 5
- 3 aces
Asking for Kings
In order to find out the number of aces in partner's hand, an artificial bid of 5NT has been invented. The responses to this bid are:- 6
- 0 or 4 kings - 6
- 1 king - 6
- 2 kings - 6
- 3 kings
Using doubles
Doubles are usually used in the following cases- When opening a bid with 17+ pp and cannot bid 1

- When answering a opening bid with 8+ pp and there is no possibility to bid according to the system (opponents have made a mid-bid)
- When our line has more than 20+pp and opponents have bid a game
- When our line has more than 20+pp and opponents have bid a 1-2-deck no-trump contract
