Football anecdote no. 20

A Russian man ends up in hell after his death and is sent to chop wood in 50-degree heat. When the devils go to check on him, they find a contented man who is happily chopping wood while humming a song. “It’s not hot or anything!” he happily tells the devils. The next day, the man is sent to chop wood in 70-degree heat, but the same thing happens again. Then the Devil decides to try a new method of torture. On the third day, the man has to chop wood in 40-degree frost. When they check him, however, they find the man dancing with joy. “What’s so great about this?” the devils don’t understand. “Then it’s not!” the man replies. “Hell has frozen over! It means our boys finally won the World Cup!”
