Hello,

The Mind Sports Olympiad is over for this academic year and it's time to take stock. Today is Monday and we'll start with chess, hopefully we'll have the final results by Saturday.

This year, 607 students from 70 schools played chess . A total of 5,922 games of chess were played during the Mental Sports Olympiad! It is interesting that the winners in all age groups were the same as last year!

Primary school results
284 students from 43 schools played chess in primary school. Karl Samuel Leht from Tallinn Old Town Educational College repeated last year's victory, winning all 4 stages. Second place went to Kaarel Roht from Viljandi Jakobson School with 276 points.
Marten Kibe from Tääksi School came in third with 274 points.

In terms of schools, Jüri School was the best!

Elementary school results
246 students from 53 schools played chess in elementary school.

Mikk Kaarel Õim from Tartu Kesklinna School repeated last year's victory with two stage wins, collecting 295 points. Markkus Anderson from Jüri School took second place with 288 points, and Karl Kristjan Reinholm from Järveküla School came in third, collecting 276 points.

Among schools, the best was Tallinn Science School , represented by 20 students.

High school results
75 students from 18 schools played chess at the gymnasium.
Tormi Kull from Rae Gymnasium repeated last year's victory with a perfect score (4 stage wins out of 4). Nikolai Kharhan from Tallinn Kesklinna Russian Gymnasium took second place with 280 points, and Ago Hugo Altjõe from Pärnu Koidula Gymnasium came in third with 276 points.

In the school category, Pärnu Koidula Gymnasium won again!
