Hello,

My daughter came to me this morning with an interesting question - why don't I organize a mind sports olympiad for adults?

Historically, a pentathlon competition for pairs has been held in Estonia, in recent years it has been a summer tournament at the Karepa camp. The individual competition has not been held for a long time.

What if this individual competition moved online: A year-round competition, with a trophy and prizes at the end? Estonian champion in mind sports?

In terms of games, I would suggest: Chess, Russian draughts, bridge (a game played with a computer), sudoku, and solving crossword puzzles.
The format could be such that there are 5 tournaments per year in each discipline, with the four best results (place points) counted. So 25 tournaments per year. One tournament every two weeks on average shouldn't be too much.

Could we also consider an international mind sports olympiad?
There should be international draughts played there, and instead of crosswords, there could be swap gomoku or lines of action?

Thoughts?

You have 5 events, but the participant's best 4 events could be taken into account to determine the mental sports champion.

By all means. Let the areas come, as they come.
