I propose adding a 4-row variation where you can start placing the buttons from any side of the playing field.

So how can you go to any hole?

No, no matter which side of the playing field, there must be a horizontal/vertical connection of the buttons.

Couldn't there be any additional rules for stack 4d? (Colour change etc.) Otherwise light always wins. At least it seems to me. Only a few are willing to play with dark themselves and it's slowly starting to get annoying.
