Hello, Today the Estonian Fischer Chess Championship took place in Tartu. 12 chess players, including two women, participated in the competition. Siim Kanep was the winner, thus becoming the first two-time Estonian Fischer Chess Champion (the previous title dates back to 2012). Boris Trohhelev came in second place and Karmen Viikmaa came in third (also as the best woman). Tournament table: http://www.chess-results.com/tnr126887.aspx?lan=1&art=4&wi=821 It was decided that the Estonian Mind Sports Association will take over the organization of the Fischer Chess Championship. Hopefully, a tradition has been created in the first five years and the Estonian champions of this chess genre will be determined in the future as well. It is not yet clear who will take over the organization (the best idea at the moment is to move Fischer Chess to the EMV Estonian Chess Support Association tournament series from next year and organize next year's tournament in Viljandi). You can also express your opinion in this forum. Thanks to all the participants who have participated in the Fischer Chess Championship over the past five years! Best wishes, Marten Meikop Estonian Thought Sports Association
