The future of Vint.ee

Hi, Vint.ee has been a hobby project since the beginning - I have spent 3000 hours over the past 9 years creating a cool gaming environment for Estonians. In recent years, I have been working on the development of vint.ee essentially alone and on top of my main job. However, in the last three months I have been able to work on vint as much as in the last two years combined (thanks to having to stay home with sick children). The results are visible - new card games and tournaments have proven to be very popular among users. However, children are not infinitely sick, you have to go back to your main job and neglect Vint. I see that vint.ee needs someone who can work on the portal full-time (8 hours a day). We are currently looking for ways to achieve this. Today's VIP user contributions are enough to cover the portal's ongoing maintenance costs, but not enough for the portal's development. The matter is clear with chess, checkers and other mental sports - they can also be played for free in the future. In addition, I am involved in the Mental Sports Olympiad, so that schoolchildren's minds work and their ability to concentrate develops. However, I would like to reach a compromise with card games: For vint.ee to be sustainable, it would be great if users also contributed to its development. What could it look like? (currently at the idea level) 1) We are introducing the "Vint.ee Card Professionals Club", who can play unlimited card games in the game rooms for 20 credits (2 EUR) per month. Non-club members can play one game of each multi-player card game per day and 5 games of duel games (claws, podkidnoi). 2) A user can participate in one card game tournament per day for free. The user will pay 1 credit for participating in each subsequent tournament. 3) The price of VIP status will be 10 EUR / month, which gives the opportunity to play unlimitedly both in the game rooms and for free in all card game tournaments. In addition, all current VIP benefits. What will be better for users? 1) A constantly updated portal 2) At least two new games every year 3) A functioning portal where you can play games that you can't play elsewhere (Sasku, Bismarck, 4-person family kidnoi) 4) Active customer support that responds to their problems in minimal time 5) The knowledge that their support goes towards the development of the Estonian mind sports portal
Alternatively, this separate "Card Pros Club" could be omitted and starting from every 2nd game (per day), the user could be charged 1 credit. It would be simpler and more understandable. Then the restrictions on duel games would also disappear (This would only apply to multiplayer games). And the restriction on creating a game board would also disappear.
The message is clear. Perhaps you could create a comparative table to get an overview of what is currently the case and what could change? Thank you.
Please clarify the question, what should be in the table?
Apparently, the current situation should be outlined for all games/tournaments in Vindi, what and how much is free, what is not, and what is paid. And then the planned changes. I guess each of us has our own games/tournaments that we play here. Therefore, it would be tedious for you to answer each user separately. I believe that many would like to plan how much and which games to continue playing (participating in tournaments) even for a fee and which ones could be abandoned. And maybe also your views on what plans and places should definitely be changed, which could be objects of negotiation (like/dislike). Of course, everyone would like to play for free as much as possible. Since this is not possible for understandable reasons, tough choices have to be made :). For sex, there could be a table of planned changes in comparison with the status quo for the entire Vindi. If it seems like too much work, then that's up to you. I guess you can do without it. Analyst Setu.
I'll try to explain: The change only affects multi-player card games in the game room (Sasku, Tuhat, Bismarck, 4-player perekidnoi) and all card game tournaments. What the exact solution will be is still open. However, we are open and happy to discuss it with our users. For example, it is currently open how many games can be played in the game room for free during the day. 1 was proposed, but perhaps this number will be 3. In general, Vint.ee users can be divided into three: 1) so-called. Vint.ee fans - users who go to play every night, speak out in the forums and contribute with good advice. It makes the most sense for such users to acquire VIP status - this way they can play unlimitedly in game rooms and tournaments. 2) More active card players. Users who go to play a couple of nights a week and want to play a little longer at a time. It makes the most sense for them to buy credit for, for example, 5 EUR and then play for about 2 months. Considering what you can buy in a store for 5 EUR today, this shouldn't be too much money to spend on entertainment. 3) Users who mainly go to play chess/checkers but occasionally come to try card games. We'll try to make sure that nothing changes for them - As mentioned, there will be a minimum number of games (and tournaments) that you can play for free
You can play checkers and chess for free, but you can't play cards, why is that?
Checkers/chess are mental sports, card games are more entertainment.
doesn't have to be free.
also one idea that came up is the so-called affiliate links.. that people who join through your link.. and buy credit on top of that.. then you get, for example, 5% of the value of the credit they bought for free. Maybe it will attract people to advertise on the vint.ee portal. Another idea is that you could buy yourself a "VIP" for one day, for example, 1/10 of the price of a month's VIP.
