Competition regulations A standard podkidnoid is played between two competitors with a deck of 36 cards, without the option of returning (forwarding). Cards are dealt one by one. If the opponent picks up a card, no more cards can be given to him. The so-called “right of the table” principle applies in the game: the card played remains on the table, it cannot be taken back or exchanged. The cards are shuffled in turn, a trump card that has fallen to the bottom of the deck cannot be exchanged. “Pagunid” does not give extra points. Competition system The competitions are held in singles. The so-called Swiss system is played in 11 rounds. In each round, the pairs are drawn by the computer using the Swiss Perfect program. Two games are played with each opponent, each win gives 1 point, a loss 0 points. The player with the most points at the end of the rounds is the winner. In the event of equal points, the progressive coefficient is taken into account, and if necessary, an additional game is used to determine the winner(s). Awards The winner receives the title of Estonian champion, cup, medal, diploma and prize. The other three best players are awarded cups, medals and diplomas. The best female player receives a separate prize. In general, all issues not specified in the instructions are resolved by the judges on site.
