Mind Games Olympiad 2018/2019 - Sudoku solving results

Hello, This academic year, 383 students from 39 schools participated in the Sudoku solving tournaments of the Mind Sports Olympiad. This is 48 students more than last year! The most Sudoku solvers (33) were from Tallinn Old Town Educational College. Let's summarize the results by age group: Elementary school. At the elementary school level, 173 students from 24 schools participated in the competition. With full marks (four tournament wins out of four), the competition was won by Kaspar Teede from Tallinn Real School. Second place went to Kaisa Ollikainen from Tallinn Kesklinna Põhikool and third place went to Jasper Vähk from Tallinn Vanalinna Hariduskolleegium. The best school was Tallinn Reaalkool, which was represented by 18 children in this age group. Põhikool 159 sudoku enthusiasts from 28 schools participated in the competition at the basic school level. In a class of its own was Anna-Brigita Topkin Tallinn Vanalinna Hariduskolleegium, who won all tournaments with flying colors. The result is completely understandable, because Anna-Brigita achieved 3rd place in the adult Estonian championships this year. Second place was taken by Ardi Raag Tallinn Reaalkool, and third place was taken by Karl-Ustav Kõlar. In this age group, the best school title was also won by Tallinn Reaalkool, represented by 13 students at the basic school level Gyümnaasium At the high school level, 37 students from 7 schools competed. All tournaments were won by Triinu Prants Nõo Reaalgyümnaasium, thus securing first place overall. Second place was taken by Karolina Lillemets Läänemaa Ühisgyümnaasium. Third place was won by Marlen Enok Nõo Realgümnaasium. The best school was Nõo Realgümnaasium, represented by 9 students in this age group.
