http://sudokucup.com/node/3133. Tiit obviously made the right decision by withdrawing from the mind sports championship this year.
Really good, Tiit!
I mentioned a suspicious result in the previous post, now the matter is cleared up! I received a reply from the organizer Karel this morning, thanking me and saying that he found another result from that user's IP address and that this ID was removed from the results. So an example of cheats not only being found in Vindi, but they still can't escape driv4r! ;D It also means that I finished in 23rd place in terms of time spent, and no one who spent less time than me got more points than me.
Congratulations to Tiidu.
The guide for the second round of the Sudoku Grand Prix, which will take place in two weeks, is out. This time, the organizer will be India. Before solving, you should definitely read the competition guide. The guide is available both on this page: http://www.worldpuzzle.org/sudokugp/2nd-tournament/ and on logicmastersindia's own page: http://logicmastersindia.com/2013/02S/ The second link is better, because it also provides access to the forum (discussion thread). There, all kinds of clarifications about the upcoming tasks will be asked. It's definitely worth reading and listening to. If anyone has extra questions about any of the tasks, I can explain them here and guide them if I can. Regarding the first round - first of all, thank you for the congratulations. It turned out better than I dared to expect. But one round alone doesn't do anything - you have to perform well everywhere, so celebrate early. The omission of the Estonian mind games was at least justified enough :) For the second round, I recommend choosing sudokus with a lower score first, so as not to get too stuck, or more familiar tasks. Fortunately, this time there are a bit more of these common tasks - but some of the weirder ones are still very weird. Coded pair, braille, Odd Even frame, Outside or Skyscrapers and point to next should be left for last!
I believe that when Tiit has finished all sudoku tournaments in 5 years, he will get bored and start winning mind sports competitions for a change :)
Good luck to Tiidu! I hope that next time I will have the opportunity to print, the weather is still quite troublesome... :)
Congratulations to Tiidu from me too! :)
Congratulations to Tiit....great. I'll take the hint. Maybe Tiit will introduce these weird sudokus.
I meant that if anyone has specific questions. If you can't continue from a certain point or can't start somewhere, I'll give you some hints. I certainly didn't mean to give an introduction to everything here. It's quite time-consuming stuff and I believe that everyone is capable of reading the rules themselves, if they have the slightest interest. But as I mentioned, I can explain/help with something.
