In Tallinn, at the Kullo Leisure Centre, the Estonian Individual Mind Sports Championships were held over the weekend. As last year, the programme included sudoku, chess, checkers, gomoku and "Lines of Action". Although the medalists of the Mind Sports World Championships in London - Martin Hõbemägi and Andres Kuusk - were absent this time, Georg-Romet, Kuno Kolk and Markus Ikla, who had also been tempered in London, also participated. In addition, Ardi Raag and Karl-Ustav Kõlar, who have consistently performed brilliantly at Mind Sports Olympiads, could be considered medal contenders. In the end, Kuno and Georg collected an equal 153 place points, having each received 2 victories and 1 second place. In addition, Kuno received 3rd and 6th places, while Georg received two 4th places. Since Kuno was the fourth best with a higher place in the area with almost all the same overall indicators, the championship title still went to him. Ardi Raag was third with 145 place points. In individual disciplines - Kuno won the sudoku (Anna-Brigita Topkin, who participated outside the competition, still had a clearly better time while training for the sudoku World Championship), Ardi won chess, Georg won checkers and gomoku, and Kuno won the LOA again. Although a total of 38 competitors played different disciplines, only 7 players participated in the entire program. Fortunately, the pairs pentathlon, which takes place in Karepa in the summer, has been very popular. The date of the next Estonian World Championship has already been announced - 6-7.07. 2019
