Mind Games Olympiad 2022/2023 - Sudoku results

Hello,

This school year, 372 students from 47 schools solved sudoku puzzles. That's 11 students more than last year!

Primary school results
At the elementary school level, 178 students solved sudoku puzzles.
Elsbet Steinberg from Tallinn Science School took first place with the maximum score (300 points). Marten Pärna from Tamsalu Gymnasium took second place, scoring 287 points, and Theodor Filipozzi from Tallinn Science School took third place with 282 points.
Among the schools, Tallinn Science School was the best.

Elementary school results
At the elementary school level, 160 students solved sudoku puzzles.
Kristiin Pulk from Kuressaare Education School took a clear victory (300 points). Second place went to Mikk Kaarel Õim from Tartu Kesklinna School, who scored 287 points, and third place went to Kaspar Teede from Tallinn Science School with 279 points.
Kuressaare Education School won first place in the schools category by one point (!).

High school results
At the high school level, 31 students solved sudoku puzzles.
The victory in the upper secondary school level was also won with the maximum number of points. The winner was Markus Ikla from Tallinn Science School, second place was taken by Liis Lannes from Tallinn 32nd Secondary School with 282 points, and third place was taken by Marie Eike Rebane from Saaremaa Upper Secondary School with 273 points. Robin Ricco from Savipõld Gustav Adolf Upper Secondary School also received the same number of points, but the fourth best result gave Marie Eike third place.
In the school category, Saaremaa Gymnasium won.

Many thanks also to the world champion in solving sudoku puzzles, Tiit Vunk , who tirelessly checked all the solutions and disqualified several who violated the rules.

Named medals and trophies will be delivered to schools no later than May.
