Mind Games Olympiad 2024/2025 - Sudoku Results

We'll continue with the results. I apologize for missing yesterday - I spent the day at the hospital receiving my baby daughter.

But now to the sudoku results.

This school year, 430 students from 50 schools solved sudoku puzzles. A total of 6,579 sudoku puzzles were solved during the Mind Sports Olympiad!

Primary school results
At the elementary school level, 200 students solved sudoku puzzles.
With the maximum score (300 points, four tournament wins out of four) , Lisette Mähar from Tallinn Secondary School 32 once again took first place. Adeele Kask from Rannu School took second place with 285 points. Ruudi Johannes Õim from Miina Härma Gymnasium came in third, with 274 points.

Among the schools, Viimsi School was the best.

Elementary school results
At the elementary school level, 186 students solved sudoku puzzles.
Tartu Central School students Lennart Lehto and Mikk Kaarel Õim scored an equal 290 points. The better total gave Lennart first place!
3rd - 5th place went to Võru Kreutzwald School. The best result (287 points) was achieved by Helena Kender .

In the school category, Võru Kreutzwaldi School won.

High school results
At the high school level, 35 students solved sudoku puzzles.
Oskar Treffner from Tallinn School of Science won again with 300 points.
Illimar Kirss from Saaremaa Gymnasium took second place with 287 points. Tristan Jaan Ruhno from Tallinn Old Town Educational College came in third, with 282 points.

In the schools category, the Tallinn Old Town Educational College won.

Congratulations to the best and thank you everyone for participating!
Many thanks also to two-time world champion in Sudoku solving Tiit Vunk , who tirelessly checked all the solutions and disqualified several who violated the rules.

Named medals and trophies will be delivered to schools no later than May.
