Martin Zaplatin won the Russian Draughts Tournament Series 2025!

Last weekend, our annual Russian checkers tournament series ended.

44 draughts enthusiasts participated in the 5-week tournament series, and the prize pool amounted to over 500 credits.

The tournament series was won by Martin Zaplatin, who won 10 tournaments and collected 261 points. Jüri Hermann came in second with 239 points, and Uno Plakk came in third with 210 points.

What happens next?
We have spoken with the Estonian Draughts Federation and the proposal for future tournament series would be as follows:

1. Russian draughts with drawn opening series will start in early November and will last until Christmas.
2. International draughts tournament series starts in early January
3. The mixed draughts series begins at the beginning of March

This schedule allows the vint.ee tournament series to be used as preparation for both the Russian Draughts and the International Draughts Estonian Championships.
