We have received signals that the images of the pieces in the chess game are difficult to distinguish. If anyone can comment on this topic (add a link to more understandable images), please do so. As I understand it, the most difficult to distinguish are the spear and the pawn?

The current pieces are good, but the chess squares are too colorful. Also, the white pieces could actually be brighter, not yellow [but this is a minor problem and probably requires some experimentation]. Open playchess.com and see how much the chessboard uses graphics there? It's as simple as possible, also in its own colors. And it's not because they don't know how to make graphics. If you play for a long time, colorful graphics become eye-catching. Especially when the game gets fast. Note: maybe the ratio of the board to the pieces should also be slightly different? i.e. the board could be just a little bigger and the pieces smaller, somehow there will be a lack of air. [but this is also such a very trivial problem that can be solved when there is nothing else to do].

So, it seems that this topic needs to be brought up again. Would the board proposed by user Reics be more understandable? Or could someone show some more "traditional boards"? I invite all users to follow the example of Reics and Kaspar to post links to different chessboard images on the internet here! We even have the opportunity to realize 3-4 different chessboards and then let the player choose which one he wants to see

I would be very happy if the table could be "stretched" larger. Even Kurnik has such an option. Is it very difficult to do?? I'm no longer the youngest and the table is simply too small! Otherwise, I'm very happy with the newer design.

Hello, The difference between us and Kurnik is that we have the background and buttons as images (I guess the background on Kurnik is just drawn). The images are a fixed size (50*50 pixels) - if we could stretch the table wider, the spaces between the squares would simply remain empty and the buttons would be just as small.

I think those first buttons are really ugly, the yellow doesn't suit them at all, but the second shade is absolutely great!!!

In the past, when I played chess on Yahoo, it was of course very cool because the buttons would change with the holidays (for example, scary Halloween buttons/beautiful Valentine's Day buttons) and of course it could also be like there where you take a picture of yourself and then see it during the game. Meikop, if you don't have a user there, write here and I will send you my account name and passport, of course, unless you block it.

I'm not sure there are any problems with the look of the chessboard at the moment. What do others think?

It seems to be a very understandable board, I haven't messed up the tricks yet.
