Squeezing a square at any time before the end of the first round of bidding is not recommended and certainly not in a tournament system. But to make sasku more attractive (in regular games), there could of course be options. As an example of 1, making a blind square in a regular game, but still in order from the dealer, if the 1st hand folds, then the next one has a chance, but without seeing the cards before of course!! It is wise to use it if you are far behind compared to the second pair, for example, at 8:1 or something like that. However, in case of loss, you will be beaten and the fight is over immediately. These all kinds of exceptions that are attractive to sasku should not be used in a tournament system. You would definitely miss playing overtaking, but there is no point in beating sasku enthusiasts in half!

Setomaa has its own rules, Saaremaa has its own, Järvamaa has its own - in addition, each village has some small additions. It is not possible to reach the final truth. Also, these so-called Estonian championships are built on the rules of one random village, so they are not a gram better than any other rules. As long as anyone can organize an Estonian championship, they will not have any greater weight.

The only discussion topic could be whether to allow the picture to be given in the first round of bidding before someone bids or squares. Maybe give the player with 1 picture 5-10 seconds to decide!? This problem can only arise on the 2nd and 3rd hands, starting from the dealer. If they then do not want to give the picture, they can do so when it is their turn. Tactically, this would definitely make the game more interesting, because it leaves the risk of hiding their 1 picture.
In other words: give 5 seconds immediately after the cards are dealt and before any possible square-making, to make a picture! Anyone who does not respond immediately can also make their offer when the turn comes, when it is no longer possible.

Haven't played sasku for a while and today... Why did they make such a stupid and against-the-rules update!!??? Taking pictures has never been mandatory, not even in Nuusataku or Hiiumaa. Where did you even come up with that, it probably just fits with programming - makes life easier! Updates should still make the games better and more beautiful, for now the only positive thing you can say is that in Beta you can watch chess/checkers from the side that suits you during a live game.

Once again! No brother understands what is happening in saskus!! Where the hell did this idea come from!! Absolutely incomprehensible! So far I have played 2 games where I had to "give" a picture - well, no one supports this innovation! Isn't that enough!? Why break the rules of a beautiful game!?
