Ülipikad ajakontrollid lauamängudes

Tere,

Kas kellelgi oleks huvi, et vindis oleks lauamängudes toetatud ülipikad ajakontrollid (näiteks - 1 käik /ööpäevas)?

Millal sellist ajakontrolli kasutada?
Minu vastane on sellega arvestanud.
Põhiidee seisneb selles, et kaks kasutajat ei pea mängimiseks leidma enam sama aega, millal vindis olla.
NB!

There used to be a gaming portal with a very long time limit at lap.ee/zummer. I liked visiting it myself. I would also use this opportunity in Vind.

I have the same concern about not finding time..it seems that old age begins in the late 20s and early 30s. I would probably use this system to some extent from time to time.

What could these extremely long time controls be? Do we need something longer than 1 move/day?

Of course longer. 1 move a week would be ok. A similar system could be used to find opponents as was the case in Zummer. You either create a game table and wait for someone to join it, or another option - a guy creates a tournament that people can join over a period of time. I personally think that ratings shouldn't exist in long-term control. If there's no rating, then I don't see any reason why anyone would try to make a fuss. In terms of statistics, of course, your games could be tracked. For example, a win-loss record or something like that, and it could be separate from those played in regular rooms.

I don't know how long it would be good to play. Let those who have played for a long time somewhere else on the portal speak. Allever, now it's your turn to speak :D

I agree with that, but I would like a time control of 1 hour 30 seconds for other games where more people are moving around. In chess, for example, 15 5 is still not enough time in more difficult games.

Very good point. Why do we have some kind of narrow predetermined choice for time controls. There could be a choice of (1 to 120) min. per game (0 to 60) seconds per move. In addition, then (15 sec. - 1 week) / per move. Everyone can choose what suits them. Of course, this choice does not have to be complete. I don't think anyone would want to play with a time control of 113 min 17 sec. or something like that. But today's choice could definitely be made wider.

I figured out one big problem that comes with extremely long time controls: If a game lasts a week, then during that time you can't put a new software version on the server (to fix a bug, for example). A new version means a server restart, and a server restart means that this extremely long game remains unfinished. Of course, in games where we save moves (checkers, chess), it would be possible to read the moves from the database when the server comes up and create the game object itself. It would be difficult to determine how much time someone still had left. In any case, a very big development. I doubt if it's worth it. Another option is to do a brutal restart if necessary, but then you wouldn't want to look at people who have been playing a game for several days and suddenly the game is simply forcibly ended...

How many restarts do you need to do? If there aren't very many, you should just announce a day or two in advance that you're sorry, a restart is needed now, there's nothing you can do.
