Lines of action underdog and about 92 points! After a relatively easy first round, I got to play with Martyn Hamer and then with all the favorites. In the third round, there was a rare draw against Alain Dekker and I was in second place halfway through the game behind James Heppell, who seems to be particularly good in every area this year. Despite the white pieces, I managed to beat him unexpectedly easily and so I became the leader. Then I was on the verge of losing against Tim Hebbes, but in the endgame I was able to turn the situation in my favor with an original idea. The last round against Peter Horlock was easier. Madli started with 1 point out of 4, but won the last 2 and thus collected a considerable nearly 50 points. Martin played Carcassonne at the same time and collected 4 points out of 7, which of course does not help him to high places in the game. All in all, I now have 3 out of 90 points and if Bokus comes fourth on the last day, the chances for a medal are good and theoretically even a golden chance. Apart from boku, I don't have any trump cards left, so I have to hope for good luck in holdem, blokus, or, as has become tradition, lost cities.

Tomorrow is the only day off of the tournament. On Sunday, there will be blokus and texas holdem, and on the last day, boku and lost cities.

Glad to see that you're not afraid to come back tired after London to participate in the Estonian Championships!

Actually, Estonia got another gold yesterday. Namely, Jaanus and Tom participated in the bridge pairs competition and won it. There were only four pairs, but despite that, Jaanus has put together a pretty decent pentamind score. This was their last competition at this year's MSO, because yesterday they got back in their van to start racing back to Estonia ;)
