Big Euro 2016 football prediction competition!

Only 16 teams will advance from the groups, we predicted who will advance to the 1/8 finals. Very exciting group games... Spain, Italy, England, Germany, France all in the same half of the table - we may see a big surprise in the final.

Oh, of course, I confused that with the teams that advanced from the round of 16, because in this prediction they are right after the group stage predictions. So I'll rephrase what I said at the end of my previous post: 7 of those who I put among the teams that advanced from the 1/8 finals have advanced from the group stage (all except the Czech Republic), which in itself is not a bad indicator. But I have to add that unfortunately these 7 cannot all reach the quarter-finals, because some of them will face each other, e.g. Spain and Italy, both of whom I predicted to reach the quarter-finals. By the way, sten90, since the group stage rankings are known, maybe we could make an interim ranking after the group stages?

Well, sten90 probably won't bother with it much during the tournament... I can already say that I already have 3 of the eighths of the advanced players on my radar and 1-3 (Italy/Spain max 2) are still going, so at least 4 of the 8 are definitely on my radar! ;)

I entered some numbers into an Excel spreadsheet and got the results of the prediction competition after the group stage. According to my data, there were 53 predictors in total. If anyone finds any errors in the following, please let me know :) As an introduction, it can be said that prediction is a thankless job. Especially this time. In even two subgroups, there was no one(!) who would have predicted the ranking correctly. The hardest to predict this time was subgroup F. Two predictors got two predicted places right (lacoste and argentina). Heless was able to predict a Hungarian victory (unfortunately, the other order was incorrect). In subgroup B, komro1 was the only one who predicted a Welsh victory (unfortunately, the other order was incorrect). Five predictors correctly ranked two places - most of the time, England and Slovakia were correctly placed (i.e. Wales and Russia swapped places). In subgroup E, there was only one correct order. This correct order also leads the fool to lead the prediction competition, as can be seen below. Subgroup D was predicted correctly three times. The order of subgroup A was accurate for six predictors. The most correct orders were for subgroup C - ten. Therefore - the most predictable subgroup was predictable in practically every fifth prediction. Those who feel that their prediction has come true in a very long time should console themselves with the realization that no one's prediction has gone too well yet. Of course I'm in the table. And if you don't understand, I was still talking about the 8th place winners and I gave them 5 out of 8! You could just as well say that you yourself are not in the table either, so don't be arrogant here ;) I don't remember exactly, but I don't think anyone gave all 8 spots, maybe 6-7 are for the best, but 5 should be decent, I assume. Unfortunately, things aren't going so well with those who advance from the quarterfinals, and that's already visible...

Yep, I quickly checked, it seems that the best ones scored 6 out of 8, no one managed to score 7 or 8. It's still quite full of surprises!

could everyone at least write down their points here...the first ten play like...the others are in a haze??? of course it's great that you took care of it yourself tnx..but I'm also interested and others are also interested in where we are, 15th or 50th....???
