Vint.ee turned 13!

Hello, Estonian mind sports portal vint.ee turned 13 years old! It's a good moment to summarize how the last year of life has passed and also take a look at the future. What has happened in the last year? As you may remember, we brought Texas Holdem to vint a year ago, and a little later also Texas Holdem tournaments. The introduction of a new game also comes with some minor bugs, which we have actually fixed throughout the year. Today we can say that both the game and the tournaments are bug-free! The game itself has been popular - 320,000 hands have been played during the year! The biggest innovation was probably the Tournament Series functionality. We have now been organizing tournament series in different games for over half a year and it seems that it will take at least another year to find the right format in all games. But it will be an exciting year :)! At the end of the last calendar year, we We significantly optimized the server and can now accept many times more players at once with peace of mind. This whole process was quite laborious and we had to restart the server several times a day, but we survived it happily. And as compensation, we gave all users free VIP status for a week! We will also continue to organize the Mottespordi Olympiad, which is also gaining popularity - this year there have already been 1115 participants! There have also been several smaller improvements, which you can read about in the Vint.ee updates forum. What does the future hold? There are 46 great ideas in the Muuda Vint.ee bermeks forum - I hereby invite all our users to read this forum and participate in the discussions! In terms of new games, Bridge and Scrabble are still on the table. In order for these ideas to go from thoughts to reality, we might need an external impulse - assurance that there will be enough players in these games. And this assurance can be given to us in the form of feedback from both current and new users! In addition, we need to decide something about our international portal mindoku.com. This portal has remained stagnant and lacks a lot of functionality that Vint has (tournament series are one example). Developing the same functionality into two different environments is currently beyond our capabilities, so there is a possibility that we will instead make today's Vint.ee multilingual. It has been a great year.
