Well, if you want to develop, here are some directions from me. First: there could be publicly pending games. This means that all players who are suitable for my game type and time can accept my challenge. Second: it would be possible to view game replays by pulling the PGN code for chess and PDN for checkers, etc. This is also good in that it would quickly come up with games with a program (it is unthinkable that a player makes the best moves all the time), while nowadays it is unthinkable to learn chess (probably also checkers) without a program. Third: there could still be a new game board for chess, the main board would still be much better. Fourth: nothing particularly interesting came out of this. Instead, white could start and checkmate with x move. It would be really interesting, especially if you put a tick on the solved ones. Users could send new variants, especially using the program, which sometimes shows very interesting checkmates that you yourself cannot see at first glance. Fifth: the rating system should still be for finding opponents of equal or similar strength, not for competing. Nothing good will come of this in the long run. So I recommend removing the colors from the ratings and also exposing other leaderboards less. Don't get me wrong, I'm not talking about envy at all. Sixth: just an interesting idea to make a tournament that could consist of different games. The time could be 1 minute and the interval between rounds 10 seconds. Such non-stop giving is pure fun. But otherwise, strength and stamina. The main thing is to rest, so that you're ready for the fall when the season starts. PS Well, I'll keep on nitpicking :D
posted by jaanus
posted by duxdery I don't know if this is the right place to write this, but anyway, I would like it if, on the home page or on the games page, next to the number of people logged in, there were also the usernames of all those logged in. That way, you can get a better overview of who is where and if there are any friends somewhere who left the game unfinished, etc.
It can be done and it's not difficult at all. Will add it to the schedule in the near future!
Very good idea from Duxdery! How far is it going to be implemented? :)
