The Estonian MV English Checkers Championship, which took place as part of the vint.ee Summer Days over the weekend, was won by Heinar Jahu. Defending champion Villem Lüüs came in second place, and Kaari Vainonen came in third place. 16 competitors participated in the tournament (14 men, 2 women). It should also be mentioned that the last time the MV English Checkers Championship was held was 17 years ago (in 1994). Back then, the order was reversed at the top: Villem Lüüs won, Heinar Jahu came in second. So the men have not forgotten the game during this time:) Vint.ee wishes the winner good luck and success!

It's great that mental sports are also gaining ground in media channels. The Estonian National Broadcasting portal sport.err.ee rarely has checkers news, but this time the front page is filled with "Heinar Jahu got his revenge at the Estonian English Checkers Championship after 17 years", http://sport.err.ee/kabe/0e60a3a0-bb9c-4ab0-828f-d4262a375992. The creation of the Estonian Mental Sports Association was certainly useful here, as it adds credibility and credibility as a source.
It seems that the press release sent out today was useful :)
Did you talk to the old master about the EMV in mind sports? He already wanted to participate once. His chances in Othello are also much better than in bridge.
