There are many users on our portal who have played to a high rating and then stop playing for the rating or create a new account to play with. This is especially visible in card games.
There has been a suggestion that inactive users (who did not play any rated games during the day) could have their ratings start to decrease: for example, 5 points per day. And this decrease then occurred up to 1400.
As a counterbalance, this 2-week limit could be removed from the rankings.
What do you think of the idea?
Rating reduction for inactive users.

In Estonia, the amount of money in inactive bank accounts could also be reduced by 5 euros per day.
The rating will be lower for those who created a new user.
I don't really understand why this bothers anyone. Let them sit with their rating wherever they want. Users have worked hard and spent time to achieve this, why punish them with this? This two-week period should remain and nothing needs to be changed.
Perhaps we should consider that if a user has not played with a username in Vint for a whole year, there could be a warning about Vint being deleted from the portal altogether.

Creating your first user should be free.
You should pay 1000 credits for making yourself another user.
You should pay 3,000 credits to make yourself a third user.
Then the ratings should not be lowered.

Obviously one of the most terrible ideas that has been put forward here so far. I don't know who the author of this idea is, but I would like to see a person who plays absolutely EVERY DAY (or even every week!) all the games where he has a rating. It's hard to believe, but some people still have lives. And what happens in games where very few people play based on their rating (if at all)? Do we reset everyone's ratings? In addition, the player's form now doesn't fluctuate so much with his absence that this rating reduction would suddenly give a better overview of the player's level (maybe he has developed significantly in the meantime?).
And the question generally arises as to why anything needs to change at all? I don't know the exact situation in card games, but since most card games here have a strong element of luck, this rating doesn't mean much anyway, so why should anyone care about this rating at all?

Agreed! I could have done it a long time ago :-) Is it that harsh, but it hasn't been 2 days, for example?! or whatever :-)
The color red is a symbol of occupation.
Yellow is the color of prostitutes.
Black is the color of the Nazi uniform.
The color blue is the color of blue-eyed croakers.
Green is the color of climate crazy people.
In Vint, all ratings must be transformed into a uniform gray mass.

I'll explain the point. Some players make multiple accounts. The point is that they are in first place with one and then they get credit with it. From time to time they play a game to keep that account active and then it disappears. With other accounts they keep others away, that is, they do everything possible to turn those who are aiming for first place. Absurd.
In this case, the accounts of such characters should be deleted, not collectively punished. Instead of proper moderation, they are willing to do anything, as long as they don't have to go to the trouble of eliminating rule breakers themselves (the reason why, for example, only verified users can still play in "official" sudoku tournaments). Or if chasing this credit is such a big problem, then the brakes should be put on it instead.
