Hello, This academic year, 465 students from 39 schools participated in the Gomoku tournaments of the Mind Sports Olympiad. This is 43 students more than last year! The most Gomoku players (33) were from Tallinn Vanalinna Hariduskolleegium. Let's summarize the results by age group: Elementary School. 207 students from 28 schools participated in the competition at the elementary school level. With three tournament wins, Rauno Lääne from Tallinn Lilleküla Gymnasium won overall. Second place went to Hendrik Tambla from Tallinn Reaalkool and third place went to Arlo Leon Tuvikene from Nõo Põhikool. The best school was Tallinn Nõmme Gümnaasium, which was represented by 13 children in this age group. Põhikool 220 gomoku enthusiasts from 30 schools participated in the competition at the basic school level. First place was won by Markus Ikla Tallinn Reaalkool. Second place was won by Karl Mattias Moor Nõmme Erakool, and third place went to Sander Piik Tallinn Mustamäe Gymnasium. In this age group, the best school title was won by Tallinn Science School, represented by 15 students at the basic school level. Gyümnaasium 38 students from 8 schools competed at the high school level. Markus Hansson from Pärnu Koidula Gyümnaasium won three out of three, thus securing first place overall. Second place was taken by Uku Pärtel Rand from Saaremaa Ühisgümnaasium. Third place went to the same school's student Karl Henry Teär. The best school was Saaremaa Ühisgümnaasium, represented by 12 students in this age group. Medals and cups will be delivered to the winners in the first weeks of April!
