I got a narrow win in the boks and Martin was second. So I'll continue to fight for the gold and his medal. To do that, both of them basically need to win Lost Cities. Since it's a bit of a coin toss, the odds are about one in twenty.
Coin toss at the Mind Games Olympics. Hmm, sounds suspicious...
Yes, those areas where the luck factor is unacceptably high, unfortunately there are still plenty of them at the event.
Lost Cities 8 rounds out of 12 and I'm currently in the lead! Hope lives on.
I'm facing none other than Matthew in the final round of Lost Cities, and this game will decide the fate of Pentamind no less. It's funny how the only contenders for gold decide it among themselves in the final round.
I tend to forget those names and faces all the time. Was Matthew the one who was spinning those chips in his fingers during poker back then? It's incredible how one day one is in a good position and the others are unnoticed and then someone else again. There is no general favorite who is always sure to win.
I tied with Matthew (the same guy who was spinning those chips in his fingers during poker back then) and shared first place with Sam Smith in Lost Cities. Initial estimates suggest that this should mean gold! More details to come soon.
Congratulations in advance on the medal (hopefully gold)! A very exciting and tense finale!
Official. Gold for Estonia! Junior gold, that is. Oh yeah, women's gold too. Ok, ok, and also the overall gold. So all three golds to the good guys. Unbelievable how, for the second year in a row, they have managed to fight their way out of a seemingly hopeless situation on the last day. Both years they had to win boku and a coin toss. Last year it was Holdem, this time Lost Cities and both years the coin fell on edge, just as it should have. Matthew was only one and a half points behind. Tim Hebbes was third and Martin was fourth, missing out on the medal by less than three points.
Great! Congratulations!
