Mind Games Olympiad 2017/2018 - Chess Results

Hello, This year, 482 students from 53 schools played chess as part of the Mental Sports Olympiad. This is 41 students more than last year. The most chess players were from Tallinn Science School - 33. Let's summarize the results by age group. Elementary School 248 students from 36 schools competed in elementary school. The winner was Rondo Mikko Pärnu Mai School. Second place went to Albert Pedmanson Rakvere Vanalinn School and third place went to Erik Johhanes Lehes Tartu Erakoool. In the school category, Jüri Gümnaasium, represented by 19 students, won the primary school age category. Põhikool 196 students from 39 schools competed in the primary school category. The best in the age group was Mathias Robert Uibokant Gustav Adolfi Gymnasium with a perfect score. They were followed by Grete Olde Tallinna Reaalkool and Herman Pedmanson Tartu Waldorf Gymnasium. The title of the best school was won by Tallinna Reaalkool, which was represented in this age group by 15 students. Gymnasium 37 students from 13 schools participated in the chess tournaments at the gymnasium level. The competition was won by Mai Narva Gustav Adolf Gymnasium, followed by Margareth Olde Tallinn Reaalkool and Karl Aleksander Sirp Tallinn English College. In the school category, the winner was Pärnu Koidula Gymnasium, who had sent 8 students to represent the school. Medals and trophies will be delivered to the winners in the first weeks of May!
