There is less than a week left until the first round of this year's Sudoku GP. The opening round is organized by the Netherlands and the competition instructions are available here: http://gp.worldpuzzle.org/content/instruction-booklet If you have not participated before, I still recommend that you look into it and participate. To do this, you need to register. The competition is held in such a way that you have to download the pdf, solve the tasks and send the answers within four days. You have 90 minutes to solve.
I would like to remind everyone that starting today, you can solve the Sudoku GP. The first round will last until Monday evening.
and when did you see these results?
The results are generally released the day after the competition ends, so the preliminary results will probably be up tomorrow.
Preliminary results of the first round: http://gp.worldpuzzle.org/content/official-results-wpf-gp-sudoku-1-3 22 Estonians participated. It is possible that this is even a new record. I don't think there have been so many participants from Estonia before. I have listed the places below. In the future, I will probably start bringing the current table based on the overall standings here and then add the place obtained in a specific round as additional information. Then it will be possible to follow how the overall standings progress. Tiit Vunk - 1 Ragnar Kruberg - 59 Margit Scheler - 120 Raido Uibos - 176 Marek Kolk - 200 Taavi Piller 201 Rauno Pärnits - 206 Jaan Laks - 208 Külli Laks Vahemäe - 213 Eerik Lumiste - 225 Anna Poots - 234 Kertu Luht - 254 Allar Padari - 275 Marek Oja - 282 Elin Mandel - 290 Erik Amor - 316 Kaari Helstein - 320 Kadri Roosmaa - 342 Howard Wilkinson - 358 Olga Kislitsina - 382 Karin Luiv - 403 Mare Oja - 533
the link doesn't work :(
Now the results are official and so the link has changed. In general, I recommend going to the GP website in this case and getting the results yourself. But I also changed the link in the previous post.
The sample problems for the 2nd round are out. This time the organizing country is Estonia. The authors of the Sudokus are Tiit Vunk and Rauno Pärnits. This round is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Estonia and be sure to participate.
