Tournament configuration

Hi, Recently, there have been several requests like "The gap between tournament rounds could be x sec", "The delay to the tournament could be y minutes". Maybe we should give the tournament organizer the opportunity to choose these parameters when entering the tournament? Maybe something else needs to be configured?

Vindi tournaments are still 10 min long, but user-made tournaments are X time. that users can choose for themselves. ntx cannot be late at all, 1 min late, 2 min late allowed, etc.
Some really smart people can set the interval between rounds to 0 seconds and then you won't even have time to go to the bathroom :)

the interval between rounds should be at least 5 seconds because some people's computers may not be able to keep up.
In recent days, there have been several "special requests" regarding the organization of tournaments, I will write down these thoughts: 1) Time between rounds. 5 sec. - 2 min. 2) Lateness to the tournament. 0 - 30 min. All pre-registered users can be late for a closed tournament, only VIP users for public tournaments. 3) Entering a tournament without rating change 4) Entering "invisible" tournaments. A tournament can only be made invisible for closed tournaments. In this case, only the organizer pre-registered users will see the tournament room in the tournament list. In the case of an invisible tournament, there will be no notification anywhere. The tournament organizer can invite people to the room using a link.
Time between rounds: 10 sec -30 sec Lateness to the tournament: 5 min max
Why not give it to a free tour guide who was late and shouldn't be a VIP?
posted by tkprihards why can't it be free for the tournament participant who was late and shouldn't be a VIP
if it's free, some users can't participate in the tournaments at all............ and if you cancel the tournament, then you'll be stuck in the field
Since I organize tournaments only for a select group. Closed tournaments for one school or training group, my wishes may be biased by the general need. I apologize in advance if creating any of the following rights for the tournament organizer may cause other trouble. 1. The ability to set a suitable time for tournament registration, but the tournament judge could start the tournament by clicking the "start tournament" button. 2. The number of rounds of the tournament can be determined after the number of registrants is known. 10 children are allowed to come and I would like to do a 9-round round system, but then 7 are actually present and we play 9 rounds :). 3. The ability to remove people from the tournament halfway through the tournament. It so happened that several users simply left the computer. In fact, there are many thoughts and ideas, but I still have very little experience with using the Vint.ee environment as a teaching aid, so I will first gain experience and then write more! It is very nice that such an opportunity exists here.
Hi, I removed most of the functionality. The following options were added today: 1) Ability to configure the time between rounds 2) Ability to configure the allowed delay time 3) Coaches can create tournaments without rating changes. I don't see any good use cases for regular users at the moment. 4) Ability to create invisible tournaments. In the case of invisible tournaments, no notifications about the start of the tournament will be sent to other rooms and these tournaments will only be visible to the organizer and pre-registered users in the tournament list. 5) The tournament list now has a link "My tournaments" (the little man icon). Clicking on this will only display the list of tournaments that I have organized or that I have pre-registered for. These recent thoughts from mell123 are good but need some digestion. * It is possible to offer the tournament organizer a "Start tournament" button (instead of automatic start), but such an option must be configured when entering the tournament and is probably only available to coaches. * Changing the number of rounds on the fly is also difficult. The "Always play full rounds" checkbox is probably causing problems. I do not recommend using it in checkers and chess at all, it is rather more useful in card games, where three people could play a 21-round Nail tournament, etc. * Users who leave the game during the tournament are kept in the game for two more rounds and then automatically removed from the game. Are these two rounds too many?
