Hello,
We have something completely new and exciting for chess players: You can now solve chess problems on the vint.ee portal!
There are 5 difficulty levels available: beginner, easy, medium, hard and very hard.
The first 10 tasks ( daily tasks ) are the same for everyone every day: two of each difficulty level. The leaderboard can be seen every day under the chess room (like daily sudokus or daily divisions in bridge).
In addition, every day our VIP users can solve 10 more tasks with a difficulty level of their choice.
This is the solution as of today, any feedback is welcome!
And now a few really cool facts: The idea to make chess assignments in Vinti came to me the night before yesterday. And with the help of AI, it was all built yesterday in about six hours .
And today there are already 6 million tasks in the vint.ee database!

I'm thinking that maybe we should make solving these tasks a little more attractive:
That you can try multiple times - that's how you finally get that feeling of solving the task.
And in the ranking, we will then consider the one with the fewest attempts at the top.
How does it feel?

By the way, how many times have there been such tasks where I checkmate in, for example, 3-4 moves and it says that it is the wrong solution. That is, it considers ONLY the option it accepts as correct, even though there are the same number of moves (the difference is whether you checkmate with, for example, a flag or a rook).
Yes, there may be such tasks, and their automatic selection is currently beyond our control.
But from tomorrow you will get 1 attempt for them, but you will still solve them!

Very good new functionality. The daily tasks table would be more informative if the calculation of attempts was based only on additional attempts. That is, if I solve all the tasks correctly and do not use additional attempts, this value would be 0 and the matter is clear. Currently, I have to manually subtract -10 from all the results to understand how many additional attempts there actually were.
Very interesting - originally it was 0 attempts by default. But then it seemed somehow strange: You solve it the first time and attempts: 0. After all, the first attempt is also an attempt :) ?
In English, this is called Mulligan in many sports - there is no very good equivalent in Estonian - the best is probably a retry or an extra try. This is never added to the regular result, but is calculated separately as the score the number of mulligans. Therefore, it is a bit unusual to read it here when both are combined in one column.
The daily tasks leaderboard has become so attractive that some users, such as Pingviiin, have started cheating there. Obviously, it is not possible to solve everything with 100%% accuracy in such a way that even the most difficult tasks are completed in 5 seconds. The only possibility is that they have multiple accounts and have already played through the solution once.
Thanks for reporting! Cheaters' accounts will be closed!

Today's task no. 2. There are 3 different solutions possible (all one-move mates). Lh8 did not count as a correct move, Qh8 counted as a correct move. Oh7 is also a 1-move mate, it could not be tried.
