Video poker online tournaments?

The idea arose to invent something completely new in the world - online video poker tournaments.

The format would be as follows - everyone gets 5000 virtual tournament credits, 100 stakes (or 50 games). And then the game goes to whoever reaches the highest amount within an hour. Whoever goes to zero, the tournament is over for them. And then after an hour the tournament ends and the best are ranked based on the final scores.

There would be two types of tournaments:
1) The game is played for Las Vegas room "money." Like Texas Hold'em at the moment - the tournament has a Las Vegas cash entry fee and it goes into the prize pool.
2) The game is a "paid tournament" - the deposit is in vint.ee credit and the participation fees go to the prize pool.

If we can get tournaments up and running, we could also organize tournament series.

Let me elaborate on this idea a little further:

Let's say a user can play 100 games in a tournament.
How to ensure that everyone starts playing right from the start (not that someone waits half an hour and then doesn't play at all and wins the tournament because everyone else played all their points :D).

One extreme idea is to do it in rounds - each round has a time control - 10 seconds for the game 10 seconds for each doubling.

A tournament with 100 rounds... Of course, the tournament table doesn't need to display these 100 rounds, it would still display the final score.
So everyone starts with 10,000 points, the stakes are 100 in each game, and whoever finishes 100 rounds with the highest score wins.

Or are there better ideas?

I thought of some more thoughts:

There have been 1.4 million video poker games played on the site, with an average game length of 6.8 seconds. I think that if you give an average of 10 seconds per game (including doubling down), that should be enough time.

100 games are played in 1000 seconds, or 16 minutes and 40 seconds. It could be like one choice.
And if, for example, I want the freeroll to last about an hour, I choose 350 "rounds".
And that's the time control for all the games. If there are 100 games, 1000 seconds will start ticking.

And how do you motivate people to play, not just "sit still"?
In such a way that a person's "tournament points" are generated only from the amount won. If you don't play, the win is 0 and the last place in the tournament. And the amount won does not affect the number of games. If 100 games are scheduled, then that's exactly how many you can play.

I think I might have a complexion?

It's not worth starting the wrong thing again! Pure lottery and encouraging gambling! IF you want to do it even a little bit sporty, then every player should still be able to change the size of the bets! Otherwise, it's like in casinos you just put autoplay on with one bet and that's it. You call yourself a site for mind games - you could still keep a line in that direction! There have been good ideas here before, but the implementation leaves something to be desired and Meikop doesn't really have a habit of considering other people's suggestions, but just doing something and then starting to improve it, as long as you have the time... For example, nothing has been done with poker (Texas Holdem) to make it attractive or even a little competitive with some of the worse sites that even "zero" it. You have to start something, but you also have to develop it, otherwise you have to close it down so that it's not embarrassing.... And the general basic rules must be set right away, not to start adjusting everything all the time later. You must also follow the principles of the vint.ee site, and encouraging gambling is not part of it!

Vint.ee's first card game, Nails, which has been played for 15 years, can also be called a lottery.
Yet in the long run, some strategies are more successful than others...

Yes, Nails, video poker and blackjack are not mind sports, they are pure entertainment. But there could be a little entertainment in the game, right?

Blackjack cannot be called a lottery, especially the live version, where you play with, for example, 5 decks of cards. Of course, the "randomness" of video poker cannot be trusted and the probability of winning is adjusted as needed....

Vindi Black Jack has 6 decks of cards in play and video poker is completely random.

In BlackJack I meant live game. Now live games have automatic card shufflers for a long time - so you can't "count" anymore. The idea of at least (!) 100 games would make sense if you could change the bet. In the case of a starting stack of 10,000, it could be possible to choose 10,25,50 or 100, 150 in stages, for example. Then there's also the question of doubling. In my opinion, this shouldn't be allowed at all in a so-called competition. In addition, the top three or something like that could be seen somewhere on the fly, so that you could choose your own tactics.
