User-organized tournaments

We have an idea to give every user the opportunity to organize tournaments in Vint - including tournaments with a participation fee. The rating does not change in tournaments organized by users - the rating is only available in official online tournaments on Vint.ee. It would be reasonable to give users the opportunity to organize closed tournaments, i.e. the organizer himself chooses who can enter the tournament / who cannot. This way, users can organize free / paid tournaments in their own company for a few evenings. Are there any ideas on how the organizer selects / confirms participants in a closed tournament? I propose the following solution: Everyone in the tournament room can press the "Register for tournament" button only if the organizer is also in the tournament room. As a result of pressing this button, the organizer will see a NO / YES selection window: "Do you confirm the registration of user X". If the organizer presses YES, the corresponding user will be registered for the tournament. What do you think?
Great idea, I can't wait to organize my first tournament :)
Yes, that could be the case. And you could choose whether to have a public or closed tournament - for the following reason: if I'm willing to accept everyone, then I don't have to allow each user individually, but whoever comes can come.
Although Vindi does not organize very closed tournaments, I would like to mention that from now on it is possible to pre-register users for closed tournaments. 1. You create a closed tournament 2. You go to edit it 3. On the tournament edit page there is a box where you can write the participant's username. The result is that the tournament organizer no longer has to manually confirm all participants before the tournament starts. Pre-registered users can register themselves for the tournament. This functionality was needed because an inter-school online checkers tournament (a closed tournament in Vindi) will take place at the beginning of April, with over 100 checkers participating.
