336 students solved sudoku puzzles at the Mind Games Olympiad

Hello,

This school year, 336 students from 4 out of 6 schools participated in the Sudoku tournaments of the Mind Sports Olympiad!
The largest number of Sudoku solvers (40) came from the Tallinn Old Town Educational College.
Let's summarize the results by age group:

Elementary school
At the elementary school level, 134 students from 30 schools solved sudoku puzzles.
The winner was Mikk Kaarel Õim from Tartu Central School with 295 points.
Lisete Ilves narrowly lost to second place   from Võru Kreutzwaldi School , who scored 292 points.
Third place went to Mirell Mercedes Vonder from Tallinn Central Basic School with 278 points.

In the school category, Tallinn Science School was the clear winner, represented by 20 students.

Elementary school
At the elementary school level, 154 students from 35 schools solved sudoku puzzles.
Kaspar Teede from Tallinn School of Science won with three tournament wins and the maximum score (300).
Second place was taken by Gren Hõbemägi from Tallinn Old Town Educational College with 287 points, and third place was taken by Aveliin Post from Emmaste Primary School , who scored 277 points.

In the school category, Tallinn Science School was also the winner, represented by 15 students in this age group.

Gymnasium
At the high school level, 28 students from 7 schools solved sudoku puzzles.
Anna-Brigita Topkin from Tallinn Old Town College of Education won with four tournament wins and 300 points. It is worth noting that Anna-Brigita has been solving sudokus on the vint.ee portal for 10 years and is one of the fastest solvers in Estonia, also among adults.
Second place went to Kristjan Hansen from Nõo High School , who scored 285 points.
Third place was taken by Karolina Lillemets from Läänemaa Ühisgymnaasium with 271 points.

In the school category, Saaremaa Ühisgümnaasium , represented by 14 students, won.

NB! Medals and trophies will probably be delivered to the best at the beginning of the new academic year, where they can be presented at a ceremony.
