Hello, Happy, successful and mind-blowing year to you ;)! The year number has changed, so it would be wise to take a look at the past year and also reflect on the plans for the new year. The year 2008 in Vint.ee life: * 293,000 board games were made (in 2007 this number was 47,000!). The games played were divided in percentage: (Checkers - 53%, chess - 17%, gomoku - 11%, Reversi - 3%, four-row - 16%). Find out more detailed statistics here. * Several games were added to the Vint.ee game selection: Four Rows, Three Lights, Fischer's Chess, etc. The reliability of all board games was also significantly improved. * Vint.ee started organizing online tournaments! Read more from the forum. * In addition to online tournaments, vint.ee also started organizing so-called. table tournaments: Vint.ee Summer Days, Vint and Kullo Mind Games Day were held, and the Estonian Mind Games Championship in Doubles organized by Vint.ee has just ended. Plans for 2009 Online tournaments If we currently have checkers, chess and gomoku tournaments, then in the near future we will also be adding four-in-a-row and reversi. We have given users tournament ratings separately for all game types, but so far it has not been possible to view them anywhere other than in the tournament room. We plan to soon implement different rankings (Russian checkers, Fischer chess, etc. rankings). We are also updating the user profile with information about tournament participation. Check out the results of tournaments held so far here! Commenting and rating games You will soon be able to rate and comment on games in Vint. Get to know the idea! Board tournaments and Mind Games competition calendar Vint.ee will continue to organize board tournaments! To better organize tournaments, we plan to add a competition calendar. Involving young people in mind games Vint.ee plans to start advertising and introducing various mind games (checkers, chess) in the largest schools in Central and Southern Estonia from the autumn. Innovative ideas Vint.ee also plans to start organizing official online tournaments. There is a small problem with this: In order to reward the best, we need to know which physical person is hiding behind the virtual username. The solution is an ID card - All those wishing to participate in the official EMV tournament must authenticate themselves in the vint.ee environment with an ID card. NB! Vint.ee will also become better thanks to you, our users! Come and express your opinion in our forum and let's make vint more interesting together! All the best, Vint.ee Team
