On March 10, the 13th Estonian Sudoku Championship was held at Veskisilla near Türi. 61 competitors had secured their place in the finals through the preliminary rounds, of which 44 showed up. After the first two rounds, the first of which was 100 minutes long, worthy of the anniversary year, last year's World Championship silver medalist Tiit Vunk was in first place. The top ten of the preliminary rounds advanced to the finals, held using the Gundersen method. Tiit Vunk won his eighth Estonian championship title in a very exciting final. Anna-Brigita Topkin, an eighth-grade student at Tallinn Science School, who started in eighth place, finished second in the final. Tauri Purk, who tied for fifth and sixth place before the final, exchanged last year's silver medal for bronze. In addition to the absolute standings, the medal trio in the 50 age group was also determined. The winner was Jaan Laks, the second was Karin Luiv, and the third was Alar Heinaste. The organizer of the competition, AS Kuma, is a member of the World Puzzle Federation and will be fielding the Estonian team for the World Championships in Prague in November. Results: Kuma.ee
