Any kind of kickback is out of the question at this point. We are developing the rig to get more and more players into the game rooms, and if we started kicking them out now, we would be undoing the work we have done.

Paulus6 probably meant that a person who sits behind a star and constantly invites others to play with settings that suit him, while being "protected" by the star from a counter-invitation with settings that suit him, is behaving inappropriately. There is no need to throw anyone out to prevent this. A star means that you do not want to play. So why not make it so that if you put a star on yourself, you cannot invite others out at that time. Of course, one can argue that you do not have to accept any inappropriate invitations, etc., but still, people do not bother to negotiate about the settings and stars are used very successfully in this way.

I argue against it. The star was not made for when you don't want to play. The star was made specifically for when you don't want challenges. If you want to invite yourself calmly, while not being bothered by those who invite you 10 times in a row, this option is a very good one. How someone so-called "uses" it is already a question of their own ethics.

I'm against this idea because if I'm red-handed and don't want to play with players with a much lower rating than me, I'll put a star on it and wait for people with a rating as high as mine to come in. That's good because if I don't have a star, they'll start to bully me.

Maybe we could eliminate ratings in card games altogether? No one would have to worry about their valuable points and there wouldn't be this star problem.

Aren't you afraid that you might encounter significantly fewer people in card rooms?

Yes, but I still think that the main purpose of card games (at least for me) is to have fun (not to increase numbers), e.g. when you've been playing games that require thinking for a long time and want to take it a little easier.

Wait until you turn red, then you'll start keeping points and sitting behind the star :P

you say that because you're always sitting behind a star

posted by violinist The suggestion would be to kick a player out of the game room if you have been sitting with a star for, say, 3 minutes, your nails are broken. Why sit in the game room if you are not playing - this especially applies to those who have "played themselves colorful"
the time should be longer, e.g. 8 minutes, because you would like to play with a player who has at least the same rating but not some pathetic player who annoys you with invitations all the time
