Siim Kanep became the Estonian champion in Fischer chess!

Today, the Estonian Fischer Chess Championship took place in Tartu. 20 chess enthusiasts attended, two of whom were women. The tension regarding the winner remained until the last round. The tournament was won by Siim Kanep, who received 6 points in the 7-round tournament. The full tournament table can be found here . The participants praised the organization of the tournament (Klubi Trehv) and expressed the opinion that the Estonian Fischer Chess Championship could continue to be held in Tartu. The idea was also floated that such a tournament could be organized more often - for example, 4 times a year. The head judge's opinion about the tournament can be read here. It's great that Marten still has to organize Fisher's EMV and it was exciting to read Marek Kolgi's summary. I'll come back in a few years and show how badly chess can be played :).
