Mind Games Olympiad 2017/2018 - Sudoku results

Hello, This year, 335 students from 40 schools solved sudoku puzzles as part of the Mind Sports Olympiad, which is nearly 80 students more than last year. The most sudoku solvers were from Tallinn Science School - 35. Let's summarize the results by age group. Primary School In the primary school category, 147 students from 25 schools solved sudoku puzzles. With two stage wins, Albert Pedmanson Rakvere Vanalinnna Kool took the top spot, followed by Thor Andreas PervTallinn Vanalinnna Hariduskolleegium and Kristiin Pulk Saaremaa Ühisgümnaasium. The best school was Tallinn Vanalinnna Hariduskolleegium, which was represented by 17 students in this age group. Primary School 155 students from 27 schools competed in the primary school category. Anna-Brigita Topkin from Tallinn Secondary School won with a perfect score (four tournament wins out of four). Anna-Brigita's victory was a landslide and she also proved her level at the adult Estonian championships, taking 2nd place there! Second place went to Ardi Raag, a student from the same school, and third place went to Katarin Jantson from Pärnu Kuninga Tänava Primary School. In the school category, Tallinna Reaalkool won, represented by 12 students in this age group. Gyümnaasium 24 students from 11 schools competed in the gymnasium level. With two tournament wins, Karl Aleksander Sirp from Tallinn English College secured first place, followed by Tallinn French Lyceum students Kuno Kolk and Georg-Romet Topkin. In the school category, Saaremaa Ühisgümnaasium won, represented by 6 students. Medals and cups will be delivered to the winners in the first weeks of May!
