Estonia's best card player 2017!

You can find FIDE ratings here https://ratings.fide.com/
posted by Mets58 In the history of chess, no one has ever thought of giving everyone a rating of 0 or, for example, 1400 and organizing a Swiss system of drawing pairs based on first names or last names (based on the alphabet)
Mets, did you really understand what I wrote? How can you give such an example? Or I would ask in response, has anyone in the history of chess ever thought of leaving the rating numbers as the starting points of a tournament and adding the points collected during the tournament to them, and determining the winner by adding them? (i.e. the current Meikop system) Maybe everyone starts from scratch and the winner is determined based on skills and abilities at a specific tournament? The fact that players have a rating system in real life does not come as a surprise to me. I am honored to know and consider an international grandmaster in Russian checkers a friend, and thanks to him I know perhaps too much about what happens in tournaments outside Estonia.
It would be more correct to explain in the tournament system or in two categories, as is currently the case in every game mode... Ideally, tournament results should show the actual level, and not the often dubious results achieved by playing with sought-after opponents around the corner. Of course, I'm not talking about the top, because whoever is strong is often strong in every system. At the same time, there are so-called world champions in training in sports, so tournament results are more objective in my opinion. Of course, you could also combine it, for example, that a certain % (50?) of the rating must have played in tournaments, and maybe even for that purpose, the guy could set up additional tournaments! :)
There is so much randomness in card games that you can't determine the best in a couple of tournaments. It would be fair to play not even dozens but hundreds of games - and that's what we're going to achieve with this format. Users have had the opportunity to increase their rating for a year (it was known that this competition would be held again in the same format next year). The competition will be held in exactly the same format as I wrote in the first post - if this year there are fewer participants who play all the games (last year there were 33 users!), then this will be the last time we organize a competition in this format. If there are more participants, we will do it again in the same format next year! PS! Ken112 has high ratings probably because he is a very good card player. Let him try to keep this rating for 120 games now ;)
Meikop's stubbornness does not come as a surprise to me, nor certainly to those who have been following the forum topics here for many years. There is a group of people who claim that white is also black, the main thing is that they remain right. The ability to listen to the opinions of others and put good suggestions and advice to work for your benefit is a value in itself. You don't necessarily have to beat your chest so that everyone knows how tough and hardworking a man I am, but a smart and intelligent person shows it with his well-thought-out decisions and actions. The man has made his decision, so make your tournament with your own rules, but please name it accordingly. Be it Vint's best card player 2017, or Meikop's new system's best card player, but certainly not "Estonian best card player 2017", you have no right to do that, especially considering what rules are being played with. Maybe I could take on some international figures through Mindoku, would that make me the best card player in the world according to your logic? Finally, I'll quote Meikop: "We just want high-rated people to prove their level once a year and play with this user." Meikop, maybe I'll start with you. You have such nice high ratings, I'd like to see how you can prove them? :) You're red in checkers and have had the same rating since 2015, Saskus crossed the 3000 mark in May of this year and after that, all subsequent games have been played without a rating for 4 months. This list can be continued for a long time. I really don't know a bigger fan of ratings and points keepers here, and this has been discussed several times in the arcades. PS! Rabapalm, I agree with your thoughts 100%!
I like this system and I will definitely participate this year. Last year I was even in the top ten, but in the last two days I managed to screw everything up. Rosekene, no one is forcing you to participate (declare a boycott of Vind and don't play the games that count in September and October)
Rose has a high thousand rating, but for some reason she has not participated in any thousand tournaments. Come and prove your skills in tournaments (even grays have a chance to win tournaments there)

I'm not taking part in this competition - maybe I'll win and then I won't be able to listen to this "Meikop has been dealt better cards anyway" talk. Secondly - I'd try to focus on what is more useful to me, perhaps developing Vintposted by Rose Meikop's stubbornness does not come as a surprise to me, nor to those who have been following the forum topics here for many years. BlaBla... My stubbornness and belief that I am smarter, better, more skilled and more beautiful than others (or self-confidence) have brought us here today, that vint.ee is 10 years old and there will be no shortage of users. We need to argue. But we already argued about this topic a year ago, we held a tournament, there were enough participants and we will hold the competition again in the same format. Everything is logical. I have been leading the development of vint alone for the last 4 years. And the development has been pretty good, I guess, or what? Consequently, I know what I am doing.
and I was hoping that last year's mistakes were learned from...sorry meikop but maybe I don't really understand you...you want to bring new people to this game but the new ones have no hope if everything started at 1400 there would be a chance for the new ones too...if you started at 1400 it would be more useful for you too, you would get a lot more tips..2 months your service here at the game would be much greater too..and since it's a tournament and there are prizes no one would mind...you can't participate yourself, you don't lose points..honesty first of all...but a new player is not interested in coming to this tournament, there is bureaucracy...all ball games start from scratch in the 100M run, everything is on the same ground before the start etc. would someone please chime in I don't want anything other than to compete honestly if 1400 doesn't work then do it from scratch if that doesn't work then for me you will increase the table from 4000 4000 and the start shows 30 games much more level ones rise on the bump and others fall on the same bump...
