Today, over 200 students solved crossword puzzles on the Vint.ee portal.

Hello, Today the first stage of the Vint.ee Mind Sports Olympiad crossword tournaments took place on the portal Vint.ee. It was a historic event, because crosswords were on the program for the first time in the 8-year-old Mind Sports Olympiad. We were a little skeptical that many Estonian schoolchildren solve crosswords these days, and so we expected participants in the dozens. To our great surprise, there were over 200 participants in total! And what's more important - most students solved at least one crossword! We invested a little time this fall to make the vint.ee crosswords age-appropriate: 8x8 easy for elementary school, 10x10 easy for middle school, 13x13 easy for high school. Today we can say that the hard work paid off - 88% of the students in primary school were able to solve at least one crossword puzzle, 92% in secondary school, and 84% in upper secondary school. In addition, it seems that the most talented students in primary school can be assigned some more difficult crossword puzzles for the second stage, the same is true for upper secondary school. Today's results can be viewed: Elementary school, Lower secondary school, Upper secondary school. We are already looking forward to the next stage, which will take place on 22.01.2021!
